Breast Cancer Awareness Month was observed by the Comprehensive Breast Services, IPGMER & SSKM Hospital on 25th October with an impactful awareness and training programme. The event featured educational sessions on breast cancer, breast self-examination (BSE), and clinical breast examination (CBE). A major highlight was the training provided to 600 ASHA workers from across West Bengal, aimed at strengthening early detection practices at the community level.
The programme also included an inspiring performance by DISHA, the breast cancer survivors’ support group, celebrating stories of resilience and hope.
