Run up to ASICON 2025 - June, 2025

As part of the celebrations for Surgeons’ Week, ASI–West Bengal State Chapter stepped beyond the walls of operation theatres and academic halls, carrying our skills and compassion to the very heart of society, where healthcare is a distant dream, in small towns where hope often waits too long, and in the bustling lanes of our cities. Through free health camps, we listened to unheard stories, examined with care, guided with patience, and reassured with warmth.

Healing does not begin with just an incision. It begins with touch, with listening, with the simple act of being present for someone who needs you.

These camps are not charity alone — they are our pledge that no one should be left behind.

Every patient’s eye, filled with trust, remind us why we chose this life — to heal wounds that cannot be seen as well as those that can and to carry hope where it is fading. Surgery is not just about saving lives in the OT — it is about touching lives in every corner of our land.
